Olympic Games 2008

The 2008 Australian Olympic team: Dasha Joura (WAIS), Ashleigh Brennan (HPC), Shona Morgan (WGC), Georgia Bonora (WGC), Olivia Vivian (WAIS) and Emma Dennis (WGC) as travelling reserve.



The Australian team placed 6th Overall at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, results were:

1st China
2nd USA
3rd Romania
4th Russia
5th Japan
6th AUSTRALIA
7th France
8th Brazil

Our very own Shona Morgan and Georgia Bonora hit four for four and between them counted seven out of a possible eight scores to the team total. An awesome effort that that earnt both of the girls a place in the Individual All-Around Final. Shona was also the first reserve for the beam finals but did not get to compete.

Georgia placed 13th Overall and Shona placed 15th Overall in the Individual All Around Finals. This is a huge effort for both girls and particularly getting through a second full competition with no falls.

The girls were lucky enough to be able to attend the Australian Tour of "So You Think You Can Dance". The also recieved back stage passes to meet some of the cast.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


The girls are becoming quite the celebrities!! Here they are at the Dralion Premier for Cirquedusoleil and also at World Youth Day.
