Level 1 - 3 State Pennant Finals
Well Waverley had another very successful campaign at the State Pennant Finals on Sunday. In the afternoon it was the 1A, 2A and 3A’s turn and they didn’t disappoint managing to pull off a clean sweep of 1st place overall team in all three levels for the second year in a row. The level 1A’s hit all of their routines and were stable as a rock, they placed 1st overall, 2nd vault, 1st bars, 2nd beam, 3rd floor. The 2A’s looked fantastic particularly on bars and floor, they managed to place 1st overall, 1st vault, 1st bars, 1st beam, 1st floor. The 3A blue team had a shaky beam but managed to stabilise with some very clean vault and bars they placed 1st overall, 1st vault, 1st bars, equal 1st beam, 2nd floor. The 3A red team were one member down sadly as Brittany injured her ankle on Wednesday, this meant the team was down to only two competing members and these two competing members did a beautiful job for their depleted team placing 3rd overall and 3rd on all apparatus. The 3B’s in the morning put in their best all around performance of the season with every gymnast hitting their routines, they were sadly down one team member with Vy unfortunately unable to compete. They placed 5th overall, 3rd vault, 4th bars, 3rd beam, 6th floor.
